Working in children's park where random sins are committed

Question:

Assalaamu alaykum. I want to have a tea stall in an amusement park. This park is mainly for children, but sometimes some sins are committed there, like children's female guardians coming without hijab or non-married couples dating. Can I still open the stall there?

Answer:

All perfect praise be to Allah, The Lord of the worlds. I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and that Muhammad sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam ( may Allaah exalt his mention ) is His slave and Messenger.

Among the established rules in the Shariah is that in principle all things are permissible. This principle cannot be overruled except with evidence. This is from the mercy of Allah to His slaves, and it is an indication of the tolerance of Islam and its easiness that it removes the shackles and burdens.

The opening of this stall [in that place] is permissible, and the issues which you mentioned do not change this principle and do not cause the prohibition of opening it.

It is far from helping in sin or attending a place where evil is taking place. The place is not originally intended or dedicated to those evils; rather, it is something which may happen randomly. Hence, this does not necessitate prohibition, especially given that such evils are widespread and that it is difficult to avoid them; this is indeed something that requires tolerance in issuing a ruling.

Allah knows best.
